Comment due on oil discharge prevention plan

Comments and a request for a public hearing are due by Aug. 17 on a proposal to renew an oil discharge prevention and contingency plan to Delta Western Inc. for the tank farm in downtown Dillingham that has a capacity of 2.2 million gallons.

The petroleum products at this tank farm include diesel #2, gasoline, Jet A, AV gas, heating fuel and lube oil

Copies of the application and plan are available for public review at the state Department of Environmental Conservation headquarters in Anchorage.
