In weekend boys basketball action, Newhalen took two games from Dillingham. On Friday night, the score was Newhalen 58 Dillingham 47. Scoring for Dillingham: Jared Miller, 12; Reed Tennyson and J.J. Larson both had 10; Cade Schlagel, 6; Basil Tilden, 5; and Kent Nielsen and Kendall Alvarado both had 2. Scoring for New Halen: Matthew Askoak, 17; Robert Clay and Tyler Anelon both had 16; and Eknaty Cobb had 9. Saturday's game went into overtime, with Newhalen winning 67-65. Scoring for New Halen were Matthew Askoak, 33; Eknaty Cobb ,16; Tyler Anelon, 11; Jeffrey Clay, 4; Gregory Trefon, 2; and Joesph Kosbruk, 1. Scoring for Dillingham were: Jared Miller, 25; Kent Nielsen, 11; Basil Tilden, 9; Kendall Alvarado, 8; Reed Tennyson, 6; Cade Schlagel and J.J. Larson both had 3.
